Meet Our Horses

Chrissie is a 15 year old registered Halflinger Mare, and is the favorite of our youngest riders. She has the longest golden mane and tail, which everyone wants to braid the minute they see her, making her a real beauty.

A “true gentleman”, our 30-year-old Quarter Horse Chestnut Gelding will take care of you to the end of the world with his gentle, smooth stride when he trots. Boy does he love his belly rubbed, and ranks high among the riders for his gentle spirit.

skylarSkylar came to Reins of Life last October, when he was donated after his owner went off to college. Skylar showed in hunter/jumpers for 4 years after a short racing career. He’s a gentle giant of a horse, our Thoroughbred, chestnut gelding, who reigns over the others after a very docile life, he now has finally been able to be the "boss", and loves his job to the fullest. Skylar is 15’ 3 hands and is 14 years old.

Katz arrived at ROL just 2 months ago and was donated by one of our barn staff, after a 10 year showing career. She is a beautiful dark chestnut Morgan, 15 years old and is 14’ 3 hands, loves her work as a therapy horse and being the topic of conversation among the herd…she’s the new girl on the block.
